Almost 2 hours and of course the food is cold. I know how good the food can be here and how popular it is.

I found Iron Chef Chen's Mapo tofu recipe all nice and translated! And from watching him demonstrate it, it looked very much like the recipe he had shown us. So with.

I eat in the restaurant more than I order delivery but if you can't keep up with the deliveries, don't take the order or at least quote a realistic estimate. Szechuan Gourmet has a reputation for authentic cuisine, and they never miss the mark. Their chow fun and pork belly are to die for. Helpful (0)Not Helpful (0)Posted 3 years ago by Juanita M.

It never let me down. Awesome! Helpful (0)Not Helpful (0)Posted 3 years ago by HUIYUN M. Best, most authentic Szechaun food in the midtown area. Soy Chilli dumplings and cumin lamb are particularly great. Order from Szechaun menu - - "regular" chinese items are good, but not the reason to order from this restaurant. They are known for their spicy dishes - the ma po tofu in particular is a great spicy dish.

We combine everything you love about Chinese takeout—the sweet, savory, spicy sauce; the super-crispy tofu; and the crisp-tender, perfect.

This is the restaurant I recommend to all my friends in the area - it's the best! Italian Sausage Pasta there. Helpful (0)Not Helpful (0)Posted 3 years ago by zach G.

This is my go- to spot for Chinese in midtown (not only bc it's very close to my office) bc of the clear consideration of the flavor with the food. Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen out here, but the stuff coming out of the kitchen is legitimately delicious.

If you're a vegetarian, be sure to read the descriptions of dishes very clearly as a lot of the seemingly veggy/tofu dishes in fact do contain pork (delicious, tasty pork). The mapo tofu is one of my favorites here - it will burn your face off. Helpful (0)Not Helpful (0)Posted 3 years ago by Sarah F.

Dan Dan Noodles are fabulous. Although I didn't really need anything else : )Helpful (0)Not Helpful (0)Posted 3 years ago by Chantal B. Food was really good however the delivery time was way too long. Took almost 1. 5 hours for the food to arrive despite receive an email confirmation that it would take 3.

Don't think I'd order from here again just because of the delivery time. I'd suggest the restaurant hire more delivery men. Helpful (0)Not Helpful (0)Posted 3 years ago by Vicky F. Try the pork & bamboo shoots and the spicy eggplant/asparagus/string bean stir- fry. They use a lot of oil but then again most authentic Asian food is still healthier than other cuisines.

As far as authentic Chinese Szechuan province food goes, they're not bad. Very quick for pick up since I work right across the street. Prices are fairly reasonable for lunches.

I went there for dinner one time as well, and the food was very good! Helpful (0)Not Helpful (0)Posted 4 years ago by Rui Y.

The food was even worse. Helpful (0)Not Helpful (0)Posted 4 years ago by Allegra M. Chili cumin lamb, pork belly, and mung bean salad are awesome !

I've always found the food at Szechuan Gourmet to be well prepared and delicious but was very disappointed to see the oil slick in the Black Bean Chicken. It was pretty disgusting. I hope this was just an off day for the chef but they should be advised to correct this.

Thanks. Helpful (0)Not Helpful (0)Posted 4 years ago by Cheryl R. Good and very spicy food delivered very quickly. Helpful (0)Not Helpful (0)Posted 4 years ago by Jim G.
